I'm a Julep Maven!

Ah, a new nail polish addiction. Gotta get my fix.

I've read a lot about Julep polishes and their subscription service for a while now. I had been receiving emails and looking through their colors and quite a few caught my eye.

Next thing you know, they send me an email with a code to get my first box free and BAM. I'm a Julep Maven!

What does this mean you ask? From julep.com:

"Each month we hand-pick trendsetting new nail colors, cult faves and cutting-edge beauty products that are just right for you. Commitment shy? No problem. YOU decide how often to receive your Julep Maven box, and you can cancel at any time."

Sounds pretty simple, right? It is! On the 20th of every month, Julep will send you a preview of what will be coming in your monthly box. If what they've chosen for you isn't up your alley, you can choose to skip the month between then and the 24th, and you won't be charged. The typical monthly fee to be a Julep Maven is $19.99.

In addition to the monthly boxes, becoming a Maven comes with other perks. You receive points, or Julep Jules, for your purchases and referring others that become Mavens. You also get free shipping and 20% off all products.

To help them choose something that fits you, you can pick from one of five style profiles: Modern Beauty, Boho Glam, Bombshell, Classic With A Twist, or It Girl. You can also change at any time. If you aren't fond of what they picked this month, check out the other style profiles. For reference, I am typically It Girl.
So what did I get in my first box? Essential Cuticle Oil (not pictured) and two polishes: Natasha and Paris

Natasha is a bright, creamy red orange. It's very much a crelly polish - applies like a jelly but has a finish like a creme. I used two coats for opacity. Paris, a golden holographic polish, is to die for! The color, the formula, the whole nine yards. The sparkle is gorgeous and it applied perfectly. I didn't feel like the glitter glopped onto my nails and I didn't have to place it either. A decent amount of glitter came out of the bottle after every dip.

I'm really glad I decided to take the plunge and become a Julep Maven. If you'd like to become one, just click here. If you're already a Maven, tell me what polishes you're loving!
