Fall Fabulous Palettes for Beauties on a Budget
All you beauties on a budget - we're kindred spirits.
I'm always about getting a lot of bang for your buck. I love indulging in luxurious beauty products as much as the next girl, but I don't think it's necessary to spend a week's pay to get quality items.
While skimming through the aisles at Ulta, which I do frequently even when I'm not on a mission to buy anything, I came across two NYX Love In Paris palettes that are perfect for the season and won't leave your wallet crying. You can't beat it!
NYX shadows tend to be deceiving where pigmentation is concerned. They aren't chalky to the touch at all. They're quite buttery and soft but lack in strong pigmentation. You have to be quite careful when blending to not blend away all the color you've just put down. I do recommend using a good primer with any of these shadows and possibly even a colored base if you really want to intensify the color.
C'est La Vie was my first palette pick. It really is a great staple fall palette. The colors are very cool, lots of deep browns, mossy greens and tan/gold neutral shades. All of the shadows contain shimmer, but the shimmer does not transfer very strongly with all of the shades. Some of the swatches showed a bit of powdery fallout, but not chalky.
Pardon My French was my next pick and I'm extremely happy with this purchase. It's fall colors kicked up a notch. very warm and glowing oranges and golds with vibrant greens - and - a matte brown! The pigmentation in this palette was significantly better than the previous. Swatching still caused a bit of fallout, but nothing to prevent me from wanting to use the shadows.
NYX Cosmetics are always a great resource when you're looking for cost-effective products. They have such a wide range of lip colors, face products and just about anything you're looking for. If it's a product supplied by a high-end brand, NYX most likely has something similar.
I hope this helps some of you ladies looking for a way to update your lids for the season without wanting to break the bank!
The second palette looks great. Some amazing neutrals. :)
