OPI You Glitter Be Good To Me Swatch and Review

October typically means deep, rich hues on the fingertips, but lest we forget, October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Countless nail polish brands have taken to releasing special lines of pink polishes just for the cause, and donate part of the proceeds as well! Saving the ta-tas and buying up all the pretty pink polishes your little heart desires at the same time. What could be better?

A super glittery pink polish is the answer to that question. OPI's sixth annual Pink of Hearts promotion. OPI will be donating a total of $30,000 in honor of breast cancer awareness this month. You Glitter Be Good To Me is sold in a duo with the signature I Think In Pink, which is a creamy, opaque light pink. There are many polishes very similar to I Think In Pink and if you are aiming for just the glitter, you can find it sold alone on places like Amazon and ebay.

I chose to wear You Glitter Be Good To Me all by its pretty little self. It is sheer enough for layering if you choose to do so, but after a couple of coats you will have opaque, glittery pink tips!

It's made up of small, coppery pink, almost rose gold glitters and larger fuchsia/deep pink hex glitters. The consistency of the polish is surprisingly great for a glitter. It wasn't thick, nor was hard to get good placement of the glitter. I used three coats for full opacity. It does leave a rough finish, so I would suggest two coats of a thin top coat or one of a thicker variety. This also helps bring out the sparkle!

I'm totally in love with this. Have you been rocking pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month?

  2. I like the first one a lot. The pink one is pretty too, but you really have to have nice nails to wear either. Stubby nails, like mine need understated color. OPI has a color for everyone. My favorite is Maluga Wine.
