Purple Pout

Purple lips have seriously made a comeback in the last two years. I'm talking all hues of purple: lavender, plum, aubergine, eggplant, you name it. It's been on the red carpet and the runways from Marc Jacobs to Alice + Olivia. While it can be a daring trend, there are ways to make it work for your skin tone and for every season.
This past fall, we saw every purple out there and in every different formula. Sheer berries, glossy burgundy wines, and even opaque oxblood. I was a fan of all of these, but some are best left to the fall and winter months. I like to pull those back out occasionally, but for spring and summer purples? Think floral.
Pansies, lilacs, orchids, violets. The spring hues will be much lighter, but also much brighter. Less red, more blue. It's also fun to get vampier at night - reach for a deep grape instead of a reddish wine. If you're ready to jump into the purple pout trend, there is a lot of versatility on the market right now whether you're looking for a sheer lavender lip or a shocking neon.
Are you willing to flaunt a purple pout?
Great post...I love my new L'oreal caress in Rock 'n' rose #203, sheer enough to wear anytime...
